Meet Our Founders & Directors
Say hello to the trio behind Basically Cheer! Lianne, Amy, and Sarah aren’t just directors — they’re lifelong friends whose shared love of dance, cheerleading, and community has spanned 17–23 years. From competitions to fun classes, their friendship and energy have been the heartbeat of Basically Cheer from the very beginning.
The photo? A little throwback from over 10 years ago — showing them in their early dance days. A lot has changed since then, but their passion for bringing people together hasn’t! 💛
Together, they founded Basically Cheer CIC with one simple mission: to create a bright, fun, welcoming hub where everyone can laugh, learn, and feel part of a family.
Amy and Sarah share Lianne’s energy and big ideas, and every day they work together to make the hub a space full of colour, fun, and community spirit — just waiting for you to join in!
Our Committee Team
Alongside our directors, we’re lucky to have a fantastic team of 7 committee members who help make Basically Cheer the vibrant, welcoming hub it is. From running classes and sessions to supporting events and fundraising, they’re the heart of everything we do.

Sarah Bromley – Director & Health & Safety Lead 🛡️
Sarah keeps us safe, sound, and running smoothly, while also pitching in at events and making sure everyone has a great experience.
Lianne Bruce – Managing Director & Head Coach 💃
Lianne leads Basically Cheer with energy and heart, and she’s also our Head Coach, inspiring everyone at the dance school to have fun and grow.
Vic Keast – Reception, Mascot & Event Helper 🐾Vic is often the first friendly face you see, keeping everything running smoothly, spreading smiles, and even taking mascot duties in stride!
Amy Jinks – Director & Secretary 📝
Amy is our all-rounder — from keeping the dance school organised as Secretary, helping at events, to cooking up a storm when needed.
Julie Hogan – Session Leader & Event Helper 🎨Julie brings creativity and energy to every class and event she leads — she makes learning and playing fun for all ages.
Carole Pickles – Fundraiser Extraordinaire & Event Helper 💛Carole’s passion for fundraising and helping at events keeps the hub buzzing and full of energy.
Zoe Ashworth – Queen of Marketing & Socials 👑
Zoe keeps everyone in the loop and makes sure our hub’s colourful personality shines online!
Every member of our committee brings energy, dedication, and heart to Basically Cheer — making sure every class, session, and event is full of fun, support, and community spirit. Without them, our hub wouldn’t be the bright, welcoming place it is today!
